26 July 2008, The Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Mr. Aramais Grigoryan, the Head of the Livestock and Pedigree Breeding Department Mr. Ashot Hovhannisyan, the Head of the State Inspectorate of Food Safety and Veterinary Services, Mr. Grisha Baghiyan and the FAO REUT Information and Knowledge Management Officer Mr Michal Demes visited "Multi Agro" LCC to become acquainted with the activities of the company. The guests had a meeting with the Director of "Multi Agro" LCC Ms. Roza Tsarukyan and discussed prospects and perspectives of beekeeping development in Armenia. Mr. Michal Demes stressed the importance of information and knowledge management systems for the development of agrarian sector in Armenia. He presented the AgroWeb Central and Eastern Europe Network Armenia is a part of and emphasized the importance of a newly established partnership between "Multi Agro" LCC, FAO DL in Armenia and FAO REUT aimed to the development of AgroWeb-Armenia Beekeeping Subportal.
